Abstract
The article outlines the approaches to the control and evaluation of educational achievements of primary school pupils in literature-based reading lessons. The examples of test tasks for the control and evaluation of the reading competence of 2nd grade pupils are proposed, which teachers can use in the process of various types of examination, as well as a template for the compilation of their own test tasks.
