Abstract

In the article, the author provides a historical and pedagogical analysis of the problem of labor education of the personality. The pedagogical practice of the past left in the world culture a number of educational systems in which the powerful pedagogical potential of labor was realized. The authors of these educational systems were Ukrainian and Russian, European and American scientists, researchers: P. Blonsky, A. Dukhnovich. J. Dewey, G. Kerschensteiner, V. Sukhomlinsky, K. Ushinsky, J. Chepiga, S. Shatsky. It is the study of the problem of labor education of the past years in Ukraine that makes it possible to find out the ways to solve this issue at the present stage of the national school’s development.
