Abstract

The article draws attention to the uniqueness of such an educational institution, such as the evening (part-time) secondary school for hearing impaired people in Ukraine. The specifics of the study, the history of functioning, quantitative indicators are revealed. The role in organization of the 1968 CPU UTOG at the Institute of Pedagogy of Ukraine sector (later the laboratory) of surdopedagogy (K.V. Lutsk) has been highlighted. One of the areas of research was the development and improvement of teaching methods in the evening school (V. I. Bistryakova, E. S. Grishchenko, K. V. Lutsk, M. Yu. Medvedev, E. I. Pushchin, L. S. Stupnikova, G. M. Chefranova, R. I. Yakubovskaya.
