Abstract

On the basis of the development of scientific and pedagogical sources on adolescent education and modern educational practice, the features of diagnosis and the results of the formation of prosocial behavior of adolescents in general secondary education institutions are considered. The necessity of the complex method of studying the formation of students' prosocial behavior is substantiated. Such a methodology was developed by scientists at the Institute for Education Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The methodology contains questionnaires: "Prosocial behavior by the eyes of students", "Prosocial behavior by the eyes of teachers" and "Organizational and technological support for the formation of prosocial behavior of adolescents". With the help of the above methodology, one can trace the dynamics of the levels of formation of the students' social behavior and identify the necessary markers for timely correction of the investigated process, to coordinate the system of forming influences in work with adolescents in institutions of general secondary education (hereinafter - institutions of general secondary education). Summarized empirical data and cleared problem areas in the formation of socio-behavioral behavior of adolescents provide an opportunity to substantiate the organizational and technological provision of the formation of prosocial behavior of adolescents of vulnerable categories, which focuses on the development of the prosocial qualities of the students' personality, increase their motivation to act prosocially, to motivate the real prosocial actions, and actions and other direct assistance in their socially significant activities. According to the researchers, attention needs to be paid to raising awareness among educators about the educational potential of modern pedagogical technologies in shaping the students' prosocial behavior and establishing effective scientific and methodological support for this process. An integrated methodology for the study of the formation of adolescents' socio-behavioral behavior is considered as a diagnostic tool, useful for planning and correction of educational influences in institutions of general secondary education.
