Abstract
Topical questions of the development of vocational and professional education in Ukraine have been revealed. The retrospective analysis of qualified workers' training is presented. The origin of elements of dual system has been defined. The peculiarities of professional training in educational firms have been shown, the program of experimental work with elements of dual system for training personnel in Zaporozhie has been analyzed.
