Abstract

The typical educational program for elementary education for children with intellectual disabilities for the first class is presented. Current issues is the development of innovative strategies for teaching students with intellectual disabilities, preparing them for independent life and the formation of vital competence for successful future social adaptation. In the context of the introduction of the concept of the New Ukrainian School, there is a need to change the educational priorities for correctional education of children with intellectual disabilities.
