Abstract
The article analyzes the achievements and prospects of the modern university and academic folkloristic cells in Ukraine. It was founded that the activity of scientific and educational institutions characterized by fundamental nature historical scientific principles and traditions of educational practice and innovation in the context of the study of folklore in the light of modern conceptual approaches that develop in the global and European science and education, functional, contextual, anthropological, communicative.
