Abstract

This book is addressed to parents of children with Down syndrome, correctional educators and educators in educational institutions. As the experience of many countries of the world shows, people with Down syndrome become full members of society, children can go to regular pre-schools and schools, adults - to find work and create a family. It is only necessary to help a child with Down syndrome find their place in life. To this end, parents should know as much as possible about the peculiarities of their child's development, their possibilities, modern methods and technologies of education and upbringing. The authors explain what is the potential of Down Syndrome children, what is early comprehensive assistance, what lessons are required for such children, how to prepare a child with Down syndrome to school, and there are special techniques, etc.
