Abstract
The paper deals with the empirical study of psychological mechanisms of social identity transformation of rural youth in urban community. The author substantiate the methodology of these mechahisms appreciation. The data of empirical research are analyzed that explain the features of their functioning in different social and demograsfic group of youth.
