Abstract
The article identifies the mail principles of social and economic crisis phenomena in modern Ukrainian society and defines the role of vocational education in the process of solving above said problems. Timeliness of the creation in the vocational education system the conditions of pupil’s and student’s career conscious choice forming was justified in the article. Were analyzed conceptual approaches (state-centered and personally oriented) to the definition of youth professional orientation. In accordance with the mentioned problems the main tasks of vocational education were formulated, also the means of professional orientation of the personality were describe, and the possible ways of advising youth on professional career are outlined. The priority tasks of career counseling of students and students of vocational education institutions are outlined. The main stages of work of the Vocational Education Development Center were presented, the psychological and pedagogical requirements for the personality of their consultants are formulated. Different kinds of consulting and research activities (on the degree and forms of intervention in career development processes) have been identified and analyzed.
