Abstract

The author actualizes the problem of the search for the new approaches to the control and the assessment of the pupils' academic outcomes that is predetermined by the implementation of the updated standards of the new generation, the orientation of the educational process at the achievement of the competence-based results. In the article, an analysis was conducted on the experience of providing control and assessment of the pupils' academic outcomes within the modern pedagogical systems and school teaching technologies. The didactic and the methodological statements that are peculiar for different approaches to the organization of the control and assessment activity of a teacher were determined. In the representation of each of them, some attention was paid at the opportunities to ensure the conditions for the pupils' individual development, realization of their abilities, acquirement of their skills for the interpersonal communication and interrelation in the educational process. The pupils made a conclusion on the considerable potential of the formative assessment for the achievement of the competence-based academic outcomes.
