Abstract

In the article, the development state of the methods of military-patriotic education have been analyzed with regard to senior pupils that go in for horting – the national sport, created in Ukraine and based on the cultural, health-keeping, and military traditions of Ukrainian people. In the complex educational process, through a system of methods the interaction of educators, including those that teach the subject ‘Defence of Motherland’, and pupils that go in for horting is secured for military-patriotic education in general educational institutions. The methods contribute to solving of many tasks and different educational problems on military-patriotic education and training of hortingsmen in order to prepare them for military service under difficult modern conditions.
