Abstract
Thesis for a Doctor's degree in Pedagogical Sciences in speciality 13.00.06. – «Theory and Methodology of Management of Education». – University of Management of Education.– Kyiv, 2008. The thesis is devoted to theory and methodology of management of general education establishments on the grounds of the use of modern scientific approaches, ICT and hardware. On the basis of system analysis, the essence of main definitions is exposed, the core and specificity of informational activity, problems of its organization and realization are clearly recognized; genesis of general management and its influence on informational environment as a new branch of educational management in the development of informational environment in Ukraine is uncovered; the general structure of management principles in general education establishments is defined and specified, including three main groups of dataware of general education establishments management: general, structural and special ones, which are well grounded. Characteristic features of the category «information» are generalized, its principle concepts and 22 categorical modifications are singled out on the grounds of attributive and functional conception of information, philosophy of informational civilization and a number of scientific approaches; conceptual terminological circle of the problem of research is denoted in the form of the aggregate of basic («information», «dataware», «dataware of management of establishments of general education») and derived notions; types of social and managerial information are classified, their essence is shown and sources of information which circulate in establishments of general education are characterized; the matter and structure of informational competence of the managers of general education establishments are substantiated and according to the devised methodology, the state of its formation are determined. Such models as the systems of dataware in management of general education establishments; factor-criteria model of management effectiveness, the model of sources of information are theoretically validated and experimentally approved
