Abstract
The manual defines and substantiates the essence and content of military patriotic education in the process of extracurricular work; Criteria and indicators of determination of levels of military-patriotic education of students of general educational establishments are presented; The forms and methods of preparation of pre-conscription youth in the process of extra-curricular work are covered; formation of motivation for military service in pupils' youth during extracurricular work; the effectiveness of application in general education schools of organizational and pedagogical conditions of military-patriotic education and preparation of pupils' youth for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is determined. The publication will be useful to teachers of the subject „Protection of the Fatherland“, physical culture, trainers of sports clubs and sections, all who are involved in the military patriotic upbringing of the younger generation.
