Abstract

Specialized school is an institution that provides secondary education, elementary art and vocational and art education. In accordance with the Concept of profile training in the secondary school in Ukraine one of its profiles is aesthetic. Specialized school of aesthetic profile has its own aesthetic environment, which depends on ethnic and cultural environment of the region in which this establishment is located. However, the aesthetic environment of the specialized educational institution depends on the development of social and cultural environment of the city, village or a region in which it is located. Ukraine has gained valuable experience of secondary specialized educational institutions of aesthetic profile in regions where traditional crafts thrive, especially pottery. In the pottery capital of Ukraine – the village Opishnya – the College of Art operates successfully, and in Zaporizhia there is the specialized boarding school of aesthetic profile "Wonderful World". Interacting with the social, ethnic and cultural environment of the region, these institutions form the ethnic-cultural, social and professional (pottery) competence of their students.
