Abstract
The article attempts to address issues of research methods of decision-making processes, the adequacy of the research objectives. It stands out the most common methods of investigation and given their characteristics. Attention is paid to the analysis of the capabilities of modern cognitive approach to create a real picture of the flow of the decision-making processes. Also it has done a ride relate rationality and values in the process of making choices, demonstrating their consistency in this context. Identify a number of unexplored issues related to decision-making processes, in particular: ontogeny, the role of semantic structures in the decision-making process for the initial evaluation of some aspect of reality, the relationship of cognitive, emotional and volitional processes in the regulation of decision-making. Much attention is paid Machiavellianism as a factor for the regulation of decision-making.
