Abstract
Taking into account the chronological, problem-thematic and gendered approaches in the article analyzes the transformation of educational ideals of the Ukrainian-Polish borderland. The educational ideal’s level of generalization is presented as a structure of nationally and religiously grounded exemplary traits of men and women who had a strong influence on the definition of way of thinking, areas of activity and value orientations of different groups and individual members of the boundary Ukrainian society at different stages of its development.
