Abstract

The subject of the analysis were primarily of academic sources, policy and regulatory documents defining the strategy of internationalization at the global, European and national levels. The review, in our opinion, is required for the preparation of recommendations on adjustment of national educational policy in the field of internationalization of higher education to give it greater focus and efficiency taking into account the already accumulated world experience, constructive understanding and implementation of this process. The results of the study can be an important methodological and theoretical basis for further study of theoretical and practical solutions to the problems of internationalization of higher education in Ukraine taking into account international experience. Analytical review consists of three sections. In Chapter 1, analysed the General context of the deployment of the internationalization of higher education in the cultural and humanitarian basis in the theoretical and institutional dimensions. Section 2 is devoted to the analysis of some substantive areas of internationalization of higher education – value, multicultural, adult education. In Chapter 3, the author analyzes the mechanisms of internationalization of higher education as programs of joint/double degrees within the European higher education area and international activities of higher education institutions.
