Abstract
In the article, the author observes the peculiarities of developing the process of constructing the foreign language textbooks. Special attention to the problems of selecting author group and assessment the textbooks is paid. The author describes his point of view for these problems. On the basis of the analysis, he outlines necessity for improving this sphere and indicates the possible ways for the effective resolving the problems.
