Abstract

The article outlines the milestones in the sphere of foreign languages curriculum differentiation beginning from the mid XX century and defines the main preconditions of introducing level education of foreign languages in the secondary schools of Ukraine. The authors describe didactic peculiarities of constructing foreign language textbooks according to the following levels: standard, academic, profile.
