Abstract

The deployment of social and economic processes in Ukraine, changes in lifestyle and individual behavior, competition and unemployment significantly influence the modern youth. So, today the high demand for quality and efficiency of vocational education is obvious. With this in mind, the traditional content, forms and methods of vocational guidance are being updated in the process of technological training. One of the most effective ways to improve career guidance is to familiarize students as full as possible with the requirements and features of the chosen or desired future profession. Thus, the article highlights the general structure of national and international samples of professiograms and their comparative analysis. The effectiveness of using professiograms of the international standard is proved on the example of systematic guides that provide detailed information on hundreds of occupations and are widely adopted abroad (USA). They are constantly updated and much more informative than the samples used in Ukraine since the Soviet times.
