Abstract

The article concerns scientific approaches to determining of ability essence and structure and its relationship with knowledge and acquired habits. The essence of the notion “practical abilities” as well as the contents and main trends of forming of practical abilities of senior pupils are defined here. The article explains pedagogic conditions of forming of practical abilities of boarding-schools senior pupils, namely: organizational and methodical training of boarding-schools pedagogues for forming of practical abilities of senior pupils; expansion of notions and ideas of senior pupils as to problems of housekeeping; purposeful and systematic involving of pupils into different kinds of socially important activity. Organization of activity of school pedagogues seminar, its themes, purposes and tasks are covered in the article. Forms and methods of forming of practical abilities of boarding-schools senior pupils are also covered here.
