Abstract

The article provides a definition of the essence of global education and global pedagogy,as the international dimension of modern methods of teaching and learning, which aim to provide an understanding of global problems of mankind, their impact on the local and global levels. Based on the analysis of the documents of international organizations and European, American and Canadian scientists' researches the concept of global education is described, the nature of the global competence of teachers is disclosed.
