Abstract

The article is based on the results of analytic research, which proves that sign language is primary than verbal language. It discloses the main method of information transfer in sign and verbal language. On the basis of structural linguistics it opens of the functional structural elements of Ukrainian Sign Language (kinetics, lexis, grammar). It describes of the features of Ukrainian Sign Language like as a natural sign system, and discloses language functions.
