Abstract
In the manual the experience of Ireland in the organization of the national quality assurance system of higher education in the context of European integration trends and processes is presented. This system, with a strong, independent and successful university sector, institutional awareness of the importance of the quality of education and standards, established mechanism of checking by quality assurance agencies, national qualifications framework, and the ever-increasing desire for cooperation between all stakeholders, is recognized by the international community as one of the best in the world, and effectively affects the quality indicators of the European higher education area. The manual can be used by graduate and doctoral students, applicants in the study of foreign pedagogical experience, in universities of different levels of accreditation within learning courses on the theory and history of education, special courses on comparative pedagogics.
