Abstract

The paper aims to investigate the substance of such concepts as “information”, “informational competence”, “levels of informational competence development”. The paper provides an insight into forms of organization of study, the use of which helps to increase the effectiveness of students work with textual information: systematic individual students work over given tasks under condition ofdirectwork, episodicalandcollectiveones under teacher’s supervision. As possible educational solution there is proposed introduction of optional course for students focused on development of students skills of work with information by means of distant learning under supervision of teacher from basis school. In the paper there are defined methods of learning the use of which is aimed to increase the effectiveness of students work with information.
