Abstract
In the context of processed of differentiated approach to the school education organization introduction illumination (end of 1950-th - 1960-th) and achievements of home pedagogical psychology in capabilities study, the ideas of the prominet Ukrainian psychologist Hryhoriy Sylovych Kostyuk (1899-1982) to the essence and development of students capabilitiesare found out. On a background of historical realities of soviet period the formation and development of scientist's ideas about pre-conditions and ways of capabilities development and educational process intercommunication, about the value of pedagogical guidance by capabilities development are presented. The correllation of H. S. Kostyuk ideas with the ideas of home scientists - predecessors and contemporaries is shown.
