Abstract

The section of the monograph is devoted to the features of digital teacher competence in Hungary. Digital competence is one of the eight key competences (according to the European Parliament Recommendation on Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, 2006) and requires the confident and critical use of the full range of digital technologies to address information, communication and key issues in all aspects of life. The Framework Program of the Council of the European Union on new key competences for lifelong learning and the structure of teachers' ICT competence (UNESCO Recommendations) are highlighted. The Digital Competence System for Citizens (DigComp) of the European Research Center of the European Commission is outlined. The comprehensive and coordinated program of the Hungarian government - “Digital Education Strategy” (Magyarország Digitális Oktatási Stratégiája, 2016) is shown. Projects, organizations, school programs, educational portals, platforms implementing the Strategy are considered.
