Abstract
An attempt has been made to apply Arthur Schopenhauer's interpretation of the principle of sufficient reason as a model for explaining the main directions of happiness education. Human's happiness is a subjective perception of the objective circumstances of life. Learning to be happy is to learn to see positively all circumstances, but no less important is the ability to build own life with more objective reasons for happiness. It is necessary to distinguish the following reasons for happiness: 1) knowledge; 2) material; 3) deductive; 4) willful. Accordingly, one can learn to be happy by adequately targeting each of these reasons in particular. The will cannot substitute for other reasons, but only to reconcile the use of all the reasons for happiness with the personality.
