Abstract

The presentation describes a guideline to the study of the dimension in the second grade. We pay attention to the content of the program, to the order of the introduction of the new units of measurement, to the necessity to form the knowledge of measurement in the the primary school students. We propose two way to work with dimensions: direct and indirect. We propose some exemples of the competency-oriented problems aimed to form general and mathematical competencies.
