Abstract

It is stated that Ukraine's goal of integrating science into the European scientific space requires, in addition to the development of the legislative and regulatory framework, the comprehension and development of specific practical mechanisms for the implementation of the European ideas and practices. It is emphasized that the sector of training of scientific and pedagogical personnel of high qualification needs a thorough modernization through the prism of the Salzburg Principles. The conclusion is drawn about the importance for Ukraine of such guidelines of the Salzburg Principles as the orientation of the third cycle of higher education to original, innovative, qualitative research; creation of a supportive, research-oriented academic environment; individualization of scientific and career paths of doctoral students; involvement of researchers in real research.
