Abstract
The results of polling 2100 respondents allowed to characterize the manifestations of culture of poverty in the Ukrainians’ consciousness and behavior. Generally, the discovered peculiarities coincided with the traditional features of culture of poverty. Using educational, political and ideological spheres as a space for psychological compensations might be considered as a specific.
