Abstract
It was showed the value of subjective methods of measuring poverty. They were based on a self-appraisal, an analysis of the self-concepts, and a comparison of oneself with other. On the basis of questioning 2276 respondents and as a result of a several-step procedure, a list of 32 utterances was worked out. These utterances would underlie a final variant of questionnaire of psychological tendency to poverty as an instrument of discovering an inclination to follow poverty as a style of life.
