Abstract

The article deals with the question of the essence of the main terms of the Conception of School Friendly to a Child. The content of holistic well-being of the child as a condition of needs satisfaction of the person of the school age, ensuring its rights, personal success is defined. The components of holistic well-being are named: spiritual, moral, mental, physical and social. The interpretation of the key terms is presented: protection of the rights of a child(actions and measures for the implementation of protection and children’s rights), personal success (the ability to achieve their educational and life goals, to perform their duties fully, to overcome difficulties, to have cognition in a school collective, to be as the subject of solving actual problems) and life skills (social and psychological competencies that provide a child opportunity to overcome the challenges of every day life successfully and adapt to these changes; the ability to adjust to the succeed, to experience failure and counteract stress, self control, the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts constructively, the ability to think critically and make responsible decisions, the ability to establish constructive communication, etc.). The new tasks of improvement of school envisage the systematic monitoring of potential of educational establishment first of all, its educational and educator projects. Consequently, monitoring of activity of School friendly to the child envisages the development of the criteria and indicators in accordance with the basic indexes of prosperity of a personality and conceptual principles of providing of functioning of such an educational establishment. It is needed to prepare a personality that owns necessary knowledge and technologies in modern school, with hard moral options with and such a school must pay attention to the child is development and at the same time to protect him from infantilism, unconcern. The content of other important terms the conception reveals are moral, intellectual, aesthetic education, emotional and volitional resistance, and physical vitality, orientation in the world of professions, participation in society and decision-making, social security, safety of life.
