Abstract

As a result of the research work the materials of international organizations (including - UNESCO, UNICEF, OECD, UN, Council of Europe, European Union) on the application of ICT in the organization of training and methodological support of educational process in secondary school abroad are analyzed in the context of information and communication competence. Actuality of the strategy of pupils' ICT competencies development for Europe and Ukraine is analysed. The activity of virtual educational communities as a tool for information and communication competence in general secondary education development in Europe and Ukraine is analysed. The forms and methods of information and communication competence development in European countries are descripted.
