Abstract

Fellow of the laboratory for vocational education and training content institute of vocational education under the national academy of pedagogical sciences of Ukraine One of the most effective means to improve students’ cognitive activity is the use of interactive technologies in training process of VET schools. During interactive technologies application (specifically case- technology) there is production of knowledge rather than mastery of existing knowledge. One should find answers to the questions independently. Novelty and special features as to application of case-based technologies require a detailed analysis of the method as a kind of interactive learning, adapting to characteristics of its use in teaching various subjects. The article attempts to systematize cases classifications existing in pedagogical literature. Case technologies include: method of situational analysis; incident method; business correspondence analysis method; game design; situational role-playing games method; discussion method. The main function of case-method is to teach students to think creatively, to solve complex unstructured problems. As experience shows, introduction of case-method to skilled workers training process implies serious teacher’s performance and it requires considerable mobility in communication with students. It is essential to create basis of cases on different subjects for widespread use of case-method at vocational schools.
