Abstract
The 7th issue of bio-bibliographical index within the series «Prominent Pedagogues of the World» is dedicated to Mykola Ivanovych Pyrohov’s (1810–1881) scientific and pedagogical, administrative and public activity. M. I. Pyrohov is a world-known surgeon, pathoanatomist, pedagogue, public figure, professor, corresponding member of Russian AS, founder of the field military surgery and surgical anatomy, professor and head of Institute of Practical Anatomy under Petersburg Medicosurgical Academy, veteran of Sevastopol defense (1854–1855), popular schooling worker in Russian Empire, in particular on the territory of Ukraine, one of the reformer of the educational system. Bibliography of M. I. Pyrohov’s works and researches about his life and activity published during 1856–2010 is represented in this index. The index is addressed to the scientists, doctoral candidates, graduate students, teachers of higher education establishments, students and those, who are interested in M. I. Pyrohov’s scientific and pedagogical heritage.
