Abstract
Two psychological interpretations of the notion “deed” are compared: S.L.Rubinstein’s interpretation, offered in the context of the activity paradigm, and one presented by V.A.Romenets as the basis of an original deed paradigm. Similar and specific characteristics of those interpretations are considered. The value of the deed concept for psychology (especially, for psychology of personality) is confirmed, and trends of its further elaboration are pointed out, relying upon theoretical results of our prominent predecessors and of today scientists.
