Abstract

The model curriculum "Integrated course of literature (Ukrainian and foreign)" for 5-6 grades of general secondary education was prepared at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine in accordance with the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education (2020). The integration of the literary course is realized on the basis of the similarity of the content of the main themes of school courses of Ukrainian and foreign literature for 5-6 grades. Within each educational topic of program sections the integration of educational material in chronological sequence of its presentation on the thematic-genre principle is realized.
