Abstract

This biobibliographic index from the series "Outstanding Teachers of the World" is devoted to the life and pedagogical activity of Kostiantyn Dmytrovych Ushynskyi (1824-1871) - the most authoritative teacher of the XIX century, the founder of scientific pedagogy and folk school, author of works on the theory and history of pedagogy foundation, combining pedagogy with psychology and other human sciences, developing and improving the methodology of primary education. The index presents a bibliography of works by K. D. Ushynskyi, published from the 80s of XX century to 2009 and research of scientists on the life and work of a great teacher-democrat, his views on the content of education and training, published in traditional and electronic carriers during 1991-2009 in Ukraine and the World. The biobibliographic index is recommended to scientific and pedagogical and pedagogical staff, graduate students, students, librarians, all who are interested in the life and pedagogical views of K. D. Ushynskyi in the context of modern pedagogical science and education.
