Abstract

Most people probably remember Borys Paton as a brilliant "technical" scientist, an outstanding specialist in the field of welding, metallurgy and metal technology, the president of the National Academy of Sciences. At the same time, Borys Yevhenovych did a lot for the Ukrainian humanities. Oleksandr Mikhno, director of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine, talks about this aspect of the scientist's work and life, and about the formation of a humanistic worldview.
