Abstract

The activities of surgeons accompanied by stressful working conditions and are demonstrative in the study of personal factors of human behavior regulation in such a condition. In terms of coping with influence of stress on a human and preservation him physical and mental health coping strategy is important, development and formation of which occurs with the process of formation of a person. So, coping strategies of surgeons and interns of surgical department differ. The surgeons primarily use an active form of coping behavior (self-control, planning problem solving, use of instrumental support, planning to overcome stress level of situations, taking responsibility for their actions under stressful situations, etc.); interns of surgeons department mostly use passive form of coping behavior (distancing from stressful situations, avoidance, self-restraint in the impotence its position in solving pressing issues, termination of activities, etc.). However, this situation has relative importance, as active or passive coping behaviors of a person are not constant, because it has dominant position in the structure of a person and may change over time. To the process of coping strategy formation of the affects not only the professional experience of surgeons, but also their internal personal factors. So, courage, independence, diplomacy, intelligence, emotional stability are affects to such formation of coping strategies of surgeons: self-control, acceptance of responsibility, active coping; but emotional sensitivity, sensitivity to new, anxiety, security, selfdiscipline are affects to such formation of coping strategies of interns of surgical department: avoidance, focusing on emotions, self-restraint, use of emotional and social support. Interns of surgical department and surgeons have various personal factors of formation of coping strategy and general personal factors that we regard as the process of influence of personality on the process of overcoming stressful situations. Common to interns of surgical department and to surgeons is tensions of person in the formation of different coping strategy: for a surgeon it is the use of psychoactive substances (suppression of stressful situations); for interns of surgical department it is the use of focus on the emotions (focus on the inner experiences under stressful situations).
