Abstract

The publication identifies the features and benefits of altmetric methods for evaluating research results. In terms of reforming the domestic system of higher education and science, the problem of quality and efficiency of research and evaluation of research results becomes important. In recent years, due to the development of ICT, new channels of scientific communication are emerging, and the formats for publishing scientific results are changing. Traditional scientometric methods of evaluating the results of scientific research cannot work with such a large number of forms and ways of transmitting information. Therefore, there is a need to create altmetrics, tailored to the Internet activity of researchers, with which you can assess the results of scientific activities for their actual use, influence, level of interest in them.
