Abstract

Mastering the Ukrainian language as the state language presupposes active practice of speech activity. In particular, it is advisable to use classical (conversation, staging, role play, etc.) and modern (project, case-method, polylogue, interview, aquarium, etc.) interactive teaching methods. This publication focuses on polylogue as a method of direct immersion into the communicative-speech situation. When using this method on the Ukrainian (as a state) language lessons in national minorities schools, pupil’s communicative competence is forming, they obtain the possibility of practical implementation of previously acquired knowledge in Ukrainian language and speech, grow up as a secondary linguistic personality, they learn to think and critically evaluate the information, to draw logical conclusions, to formulate judgments, to give their own arguments, to hear and respect other’s points of view.
