Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of studying the gender‐age characteristics of the inner freedom of the personality of future psychologists. The theoretical analysis of the concepts of «freedom», «inner freedom of the individual» is presented. It was revealed that inner freedom as a complex personal quality is a necessary condition for human existence, manifests itself in relationships between people and is closely related to responsibility, free will and freedom of choice. It has been established that inner freedom is a determining criterion for the psychological health of a person. The results of an empirical study of gender‐age characteristics of the inner freedom of the personality of future psychologists are presented. At the first stage of the study, social attitude about freedom of future psychologists were analyzed. It was revealed that freedom is an integral part of the social concepts of future psychologists. At the second stage of the study, the levels and indicators of the inner freedom of the personality of future psychologists were determined. An insufficient level of inner freedom of the personality of future psychologists was established, the overwhelming majority of the studied low and underestimated level of internal freedom, causes a decrease in the awareness of the value of personal freedom of a person. At the third stage of the research, the study of gender‐age characteristics of the inner freedom of the personality of future psychologists was carried out. There are statistically significant gender and age differences in the manifestations of inner freedom of the future psychologists, in particular, men have clearer attitudes to self‐determination than women, they have beliefs about the ability to influence the events of his life and resist external circumstances, especially older. The necessity of developing approaches to psychological support of the process of development of inner freedomt of future psychologists taking into account heir gender and age peculiarities is determined.
