Abstract

The article analyses the main features of the current understanding of reflection and the most perspective directions of this problem further development. Modern psychological technologies examining reflection are generalized according to the conceptual definition of reflexive mechanisms, types and levels of reflection. Each presented examining technology has certain specificity as for study of reflection. We substantiate that it is necessary for constructive research on reflection to differentiate the general subject of psychology of reflection; that is, reflection as a synthetic mental reality should be studied in three basic aspects: as a mental process, as a mental property and as a mental state. The performed analysis shows existing correlations between the development of reflexivity and performance parameters, and that reflexivity has a determinative role in the structural organization of other mental properties and personality traits.
