Abstract

The textbook "Education Management" is designed to provide the course "Public Policy and Management in Education", which is taught in the specialty program "Public Administration". The manual presents the results of the original study of the phenomenology of educational phenomena, the development of cultural and information theory of education as an object of management. Using the latest statistics, the state and trends of the global education system, educational areas of developed countries, especially the G7 and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as Central and Eastern European countries in the process of social transformation are analyzed. The educational branch of Ukraine is comprehensively considered, the changes which have taken place in it for the last quarter of a century and especially in the period of formation of the state independence are shown. The principles of national educational policy, the main directions of education reform are revealed. The structure and functions of central and local bodies of state education management are systematically presented, the personnel potential of the educational branch, its financial and logistical support is analyzed. The manual is illustrated with many figures, graphs, tables, contains a large bibliography. The publication is designed for students, graduate students, doctoral students, scientific and pedagogical and management staff of the educational field.
