Abstract

Scientific social networks ResearchGate and Academia.edu open wide opportunities for international cooperation of scientists. These platforms help to search for foreign colleagues, institutions engaged in the study of problems of interest to the researcher, research projects, research vacancies, etc. Unlike the Academia.edu network, which is popular mainly with social scientists, ResearchGate is used primarily by researchers in biology, medicine and computer science.
