Abstract

Introduction. Foreign pharmaceutical companies and their representative offices have accumulated, but not generalized, the significant experience of professional training of medical representatives, which is of interest to domestic pharmaceutical companies and higher educational institutions. Purpose. Analysis and generalization of the experience of professional training of medical representatives in foreign pharmaceutical companies and their representative offices in Ukraine. Methods. Specific-search and bibliographic - for selection, systematization and evaluation of scientific Ukrainian-language and foreign sources on the topic of research; observation and training visits to representative offices of foreign and domestic pharmaceutical companies; own experience of conducting coaching sessions; qualitative analysis of the research results. Results. Different approaches to the organization of professional training are revealed and summarized, the choice of which depends on the policy of foreign pharmaceutical companies; forms of professional training in representative offices of foreign pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine are singled out. The content of the corporate training on the preparation and conduct of the visit, the coaching session on the development of the visiting skills, and the post-training support are revealed. Originality. For the first time, the experience of foreign pharmaceutical companies and their representative offices in Ukraine on the organization of professional training of medical representatives has been studied and summarized. Conclusion. Generalized experience can be used in organizing vocational training by domestic pharmaceutical companies. The content and structure of corporate training and coaching sessions deserves the attention of teachers of higher educational institutions for their use in the post-graduate course of study of medical and pharmaceutical specialties. Further inquiries in this direction require the identification of the pedagogical conditions for the organization of professional training in foreign pharmaceutical companies.
