Abstract

The author states that under globalization there is a transformation of the conceptual foundations of professional development of teachers and models of organization of this process. The positions of key international organizations on the professional development of teachers are analyzed. It is concluded that international organizations form an innovative dimension of professional development of teachers. The multidimensionality of forms, continuous nature, orientation to the place of work of a teacher, emphasis on collective forms of professional development are among the main innovative ideas of international organizations.
